How to reach your dream audience in 5 easy steps

Answering the world’s most baffling marketing question .. in 5 steps.

“How do I reach my dream audience?!”

This question comes up all the time in sessions and is the question that launched me into taking marketing seriously.

I figured it’s not worth it for anyone to sit around and wonder anymore the way I did for years and years…

So I broke it down in 5 simple steps that you can use:

1. Know what you have to offer.

What are you selling or offering? A service? Product?

Do you know how to talk about it?

Can you explain it to someone who asks what you’re doing?

If the answer is no, you need to start RIGHT here and put time and energy into developing your offering.

This way, you are able to clearly …

2. Identify who you want to reach.

Without knowing who you are trying to reach .. how are you supposed to reach them at all?

Imagine if a hamburger restaurant was trying to sell their meals to vegans … it wouldn’t work and they would be wasting their energy.

3. Determine where they “hang out” … digitally and IRL!

This is important because those spaces will have MORE people in your dream audience that you want to engage with.

(You can also partner with them in the future because collaboration > competition everyday!)

4. Identify their questions & concerns.

This is a big one because you are able to know what issues they are facing and allow your offer to solve their problem.

And last but certainly not least…

5. Communicate with them - consistently and clearly.

This is my motto. Truly.

Communicating with your audience , either in person or online needs to happen.

You want people to buy your homemade shampoo right? So tell them it exists!

Let them know the value of it and establish trust by showing up and communicating clearly.

This is honest work! We are not here to profit off of exploitation, we are here to live our truth and stand in our integrity.
