What's imposter syndrome and how can I get rid of it?

 

Let's talk about something that comes up often in my work…

the dreaded Imposter Syndrome !!!

We’ve all been there (especially me).. but what exactly is it?

And why might creating awareness around it help us overcome it?

First tell me if this sounds like you …
• you have big goals and dreams for yourself
• you find yourself addicted to working
• you compare your success to others in your field
• you have had success in projects before and worry it was just “luck” or good timing (rather than your hard work)?

Okay, well thats imposter syndrome!



Those feelings of self-doubt and a desire for perfectionism are not only unrealistic — but they are definitely unwanted.

They make us feel overwhelmed, burnt out, and eternally unaccomplished.

That’s why we need to acknowledge the fact that we can overcome imposter syndrome!!!

The solution? Shifting the way you view yourself.


Take a minute to
- reflect on your accomplishments
- congratulate yourself
- give yourself a big hug
And repeat after me:
”I am original, authentic, and I have something valuable to offer to the world.”

Repeat that affirmation everyday to yourself for a month!!! See what happens.

It’s a gentle reminder to yourself that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

We are all actively practicing, growing into the visions we have of ourselves and expanding.
